In this role, I established and developed a school-level institutional research program from the ground up, working collaboratively with the central institutional research office.
- Incorporated data on research publications, funding, and impact into the faculty performance review process, providing a comprehensive evaluation of faculty achievements and identifying opportunities for mentorship and career advancement
- Led the Dunlop School of Biological Sciences' comprehensive 10-year program evaluation, coordinating schedules, managing contributors, compiling data, and performing custom analyses for reviewers, resulting in a positive assessment of the school's performance
- Served as a subject matter expert for student, staff, and faculty information, working closely with university-wide departments to ensure consistent definitions and data reporting methods, while also addressing the unique data needs of the Dunlop School
- Fostered a culture of assessment within the Dunlop School, promoting data-driven decision-making and outcome-based evaluation
- Conducted statistical analyses and created data visualizations to examine salary data across various job positions, identifying trends and potential inequities in compensation. Provided data-driven recommendations to leadership to develop equitable and competitive salary strategies.
- Analyzed student enrollment and course offerings to ensure an adequate number of laboratory course seats for Biological Sciences students, enabling them to meet graduation requirements and inspiring the development of a university-wide enrollment management tool
- Partnered with faculty, student advisors, and department coordinators to develop data-informed strategies for course offerings and enrollment management
- Designed and implemented research projects to support the Dunlop School of Biological Sciences' strategic goals, delivering insights to guide decision-making and policy development
- Prepared and presented reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate research findings to various stakeholders within the school and the broader university community
- Maintained knowledge of current best practices and emerging trends in institutional research, especially in the context of science-focused, research-oriented universities
