At UC Irvine’s Dunlop School of Biological Sciences, Randy serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, designing governance and service models impacting 125+ faculty and 75+ staff. He has translated complex budget frameworks into enrollment and funding scenarios, supported restructuring across nine shared services units and four academic departments, and facilitated alignment among 15+ stakeholder groups to ensure sustainable, compliant change. Randy is currently leading efforts to standardize administrative processes across the school, improving transparency and efficiency.
Principal Institutional Research Analyst (June 2016 - August 2025)
As Principal Institutional Research Analyst, Randy directed the school’s 10-year academic program review, coordinating data collection, faculty input, and reporting that secured a positive outcome from central administration. He designed and analyzed surveys for students and faculty, producing insights that guided policy and program changes, and built interactive Tableau dashboards—later adopted at the campus level—to track enrollment and course capacity for more than 4,000 undergraduates. Randy also provided ad hoc analyses on enrollment, compliance, and budget impacts, giving school leadership timely insights to inform high-stakes decisions.
